A true love story re-enacted by the couple that made this love story come true.
Mandy & Oat approached us after watching a few of our other couple’s pre wedding love story films and wanted their own. But being based in Port Fairy, Victoria, we had to create their concept and story over phone and email.
This creation process was a breeze as Mandy’s profession as an effects make up artist meant she’s been exposed to the film making process and Oat is a professional photographer meant they knew how we would work.
A few days later, Mandy sent us a synopsis and script of her and Oat’s love story. We were so thrilled to read what she had given us that what’s in the film is pretty much to the script.
They flew down to Sydney for a week during Summer to organise their Wedding (they’re originally Sydneysiders afterall) and spent a day with us to film their pre wedding. Mandy and Oat wanted to incorporate their beloved friends and family into the pre wedding video. Thus we had cameos from Mandy and Oat’s good friends Ed and Will as well as Mandy’s parents.
After a long day of shoot, where we were greeted with hot humid weather in the early afternoon to thunderous storm in the early evening. We had the pleasure of dining with Mandy’s parents. Mama Mantovani was a true Italian mother, loving, warm and of course an amazing chef. We were invited to have dinner with the family, and we were offered such a feast! Papa Mantovani provided great company. He was very charming, funny and enthralled us with stories of his life.
We had such a great time making this pre wedding video and so privileged that they have chosen us to tell their story. We are so in love with Oat and Mandy and their amazing family and friends. Without further ado, please enjoy this truly spectacular love story from Mandy and Oat.
